About the event
Bob Dylan’s artistic production has also had a clear impact on the art market, where his works have shown steady and at times significant value growth since they began being sold publicly on a larger scale in the 2000s.
When his visual art was introduced to the international market with the Drawn Blank series, price levels were relatively modest compared to established contemporary artists. In the years that followed, demand increased rapidly as he gained greater institutional recognition and began exhibiting in established galleries and museums.
Several of his series have since reached significantly higher sales levels, particularly original paintings from major exhibition bodies such as The Brazil Series and The Beaten Path. These works have, in some cases, sold for multi-million-dollar amounts, placing him in a higher segment of the contemporary art market.
