Barbara van der Berg graduated from the School of Art and Design in Den Bosch in 2003 and co-founded Studio BEET, a graphic design and illustration agency. She is an eclectic artist working across painting, digital collage, photography, charcoal, typography, and stop-motion.​​ Her work combines a playful contemporary pop aesthetic with sharp conceptual critique. Inspired by human behavior and relationships, she creates art that invites reflection on identity and connectedness within society.​​ Using cut-outs from old magazines and recycled materials, van der Berg comments on today’s disposable culture. In her series Behind the Scenes, she explores what lies beneath the visible, blending pop, contemporary, and historical elements to highlight the enduring power of female icons.
