BB Move – by Pierre Lamblin
BB Move is a kinetic 3D artwork by Pierre Lamblin that pays tribute to Brigitte Bardot as a pop culture icon. The piece is constructed in multiple layers, creating a strong sense of visual movement as the viewer shifts position. The kinetic effect allows the image to transform depending on light and viewing angle, giving the portrait a dynamic, almost living presence.
Within this work, Lamblin incorporates references to other contemporary artists. Among them is Takashi Murakami, whose colorful and graphic visual language can be identified within the layered composition. As in other works where Lamblin has integrated references to Banksy and Mr. Brainwash, these elements function as a deliberate dialogue with contemporary art history.
Murakami’s presence in BB Move is not a collaboration, but rather a visual quotation. By combining Bardot’s iconic image with symbols and aesthetic cues from international pop and street art, Lamblin creates a work that moves between nostalgia, consumer culture, and global contemporary art.
The result is a dynamic portrait in which multiple layers of cultural references coexist. The viewer encounters not only Bardot, but also an ongoing visual conversation between different artistic universes—enhanced by Lamblin’s signature kinetic 3D technique.
