This work, titled “Drop Hearts Not Bombs Black”, reinterprets a classic hand grenade within a clear pop art tradition, where everyday and charged symbols are transformed into visual statements.

At its core, the explosive element is replaced by a stylized heart, creating a strong visual contrast and shifting the object’s original meaning from violence toward a message of love and resistance.

The dark, almost graphic surface of the body meets the glossy gold tone of the pin, enhancing the aesthetic tension between the harsh and the precious. The clean, icon-like form gives the work a direct and striking presence, typical of contemporary pop art.
